What is wrong with the human race? I don't understand the logic behind pushing one another, yelling at one another, running just so you could save 10$. I mean people, come on!

I have to agree. It is so sad and horrible that this is how bad our society is getting over something so low and out of reality as a "sale" at a store.
I can understand being excited, but these reports just indicate the overdrive for materialism and is a sign that many of us have learned NOTHING from the economic struggle we are in or about what it means to save and being considerate.

Leon, this Black Friday business has always disgusted me. I am so glad you did a post about it and I can't wait to read more of you archives-actually all of them. I am someone who is a failed writer and have minimal formal education and computer skills,but I would very much like to get better! It's just one of those things that you have to see to believe. I for one was shocked and angered at the story of a Wal Mart temporary employee who was killed while trying to help a pregnant woman who was being trampled. It really is sad that in the name of a good sale we are willing to unleash bloodshed and total disregard for our fellow men and women. I know it was always here and has been here but I didn't realize it had become this bad. We're in a lot of trouble.
