Do you enjoy life in the present moment, or do you live in the tomorrow? Most of us live in the future, and we seem to forget the present. It is as if we believe that if we focus on the future, the present will work itself out. Does that not sound like crock of shit to you? Personally, it seems that we are afraid of the present, because of all the worries, we have, but do you think if we fix the present, the future will be better?
Striving to live your life small-steps at a time; seems to be the only way to achieve happiness. If we put our focus and emphasis on what we do not like right away, we can get rid of the problems right away, instead of putting it on the back burner.
Why not start today. Merely let go of all your worries and try to live in this moment. If a problem arises, deal with it immediately. Ignoring it will only cost you more headaches, further down the road.

Nice article, Leon. You're absolutely right, though it's easy to forget ... we must live in the now. Let you heart make your choices of the now and your mind those of tomorrow.
nicely said. of course we should live in the now. yet it's all too easy to live in tomorrow. or even in yesterday. plus it spoils the memories we could be building, here, now...
Leon,
Gets a whole lot easier living in the moment and in the present when you get my age and the future is a much shorter road ahead.

i've always lived in the moment - in today - or tried to - my mother lived in yesterday and tomorrow - and somehow viewed my world of today as a negative thing that i shared with my father - but i've always been very happy in my TODAY and shall continue to be - jenean
I totally agree - it's the only way to live.
The false notion of living in the present moment is no different than the memories created from past imagination or the fiction of future thinking. As long as "you" are operating out of the duality of split-mind thinking one can never experience the present moment. It's just another concept created out of fear. Come off it Leon, do you really believe you live in the present moment. It's nothing more than another generic catch phrase the mind clings to. The desire to "live" in the present moment is only more craving spawned by false view.
