Here at Tom’s Hardware, you know we don’t typically get political because with the heated debates between AMD vs. Intel who needs Donkeys vs. Elephants?

We’ve got no agenda beyond providing the best hardware news and reviews we can dig up. But here at Year’s end, there’s a subject we want to share with you that may come to affect how you experience us and the rest of the internet. It’s called SOPA, or the “Stop Online Piracy Act”, and it is headed through U.S. Congress with its sister bill PROTECT-IP in the Senate. SOPA threatens to fundamentally change the way information is presented online by placing massive restrictions on user-generated content like posts to forums, video uploads, podcasts or images. In a nutshell, here’s what the law would do:

Assign liability to site owners for everything users post, without consideration for whether or not the user posted without permission. Site owners could face jail time or heavy fines, and DNS blacklisting.
It would require web services like YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter to monitor and aggressively filter everything all users upload.
It would deny site owners due process of law, by initiating a DNS blacklisting based solely on a good faith assertion by an individual copyright or intellectual property owner.
It would give the U.S. government the power to selectively censor the web using techniques similar to those used in China, Malaysia and Iran. The Great Firewall of China is an example of this type of embedded, infrastructural internet censorship.

As an example, imagine a user posts a video clip to the Tom’s Community of a step-by-step guide on how to set up water cooling on an overclocked i7 CPU. Playing in the background behind the voiceover is “Derezzed” by Daft Punk. The studio representing Daft Punk could issue a complaint, without being required to notify us or request a take-down. Tom’s Hardware would be liable and prosecuted solely on a good faith assertion of the copyright owner, without notification, with the site operators subject to possible jail time for not preventing the video from being posted. In short order, thehttp://www.tomshardware.com/ domain in the United States would no longer resolve to our servers and visitors attempting to come to Tom’s Hardware would be redirected to a “This site under review for piracy/copyright violations” page.

To conform to these new restrictions would mean that Tom’s Hardware would have to switch to a review/approval process for any and all new posts to our forums and articles. Our community team would have to approve every single news comment, every new thread, and every new response before it went live and filter them for potentially infringing material. Even so, we would still possibly be under threat from violations not caught – a user posting a paragraph from “Unix for Dummies” as an example or a snippet of software news from another website in excess of a certain summary threshold. That’s just here on Tom’s. The effect on sites like YouTube, Google, Facebook, Twitter, Reddit and the rest of the internet would be devastating, and progress and innovation would grind to a halt under the cumbersome new restrictions.

The intent of the legislation is to stop piracy, which isn’t affected in the least by this approach. The DNS censoring method is circumvented by navigating to the IP directly, and many have already installed Anti-SOPA browser extensions that do this automatically. Unfortunately the legislation in the House and Senate has a wide margin of bi-partisan support and looks likely to pass after the holidays. We strongly oppose the censorship of the internet and strongly encourage you to contact your Congressional Representatives and Senators to voice your opposition. Believe it or not, your Congress-critters do count the number of calls and emails they get on a particular issue, and most of the time only the people in their jurisdiction (read- you) can sway their opinion on something – so your action on this is important.

Please take a moment to contact your representative and tell them you oppose the PROTECT IP Act in the Senate and the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) in the House. Listen and hear yourself plea

Look inside the face and then do not escape your grace

This music is supposed to touch your gaze and change your ways

So nothing, extreme of negativity destroys your face

Relax and glide into the moments of joy and peace

Tranquility is something you supposed to feel

Without much complexity as this is once again purity for the one

That simply lays down to sleep and dreams big dreams

Rain gazes up on me, what beauty is in the name of it

When true cleanliness is something so beautiful
Purity is something I strive to be, so nothing can stick on me

Laughter from the kids around me, oh, how delightful

What an enjoyable sight, what a beautiful time of the year

I think its winter, how marvelous to see the hugs and kisses from the neighbors to their children

It is truly a picture perfect Kodak moment of awe moments

That cannot be erased, nor pressed to be re-winded

As they are supposed to continue to move in motion

It’s truly the only form of potion that continues to be explored

So like this instrumental that will continue making me, feel like I am the only one in this rain

An enjoyable sight, oh how mesmerizing to know the day like today, will go into my memory

It’s a depression rolled into an assassination technique

That progresses deep into the core of your heart beat

Congregated Memories

Through memory cortex of disabled mortal ethics...

Enchant a battle with the dying of who is gifted

It is a previous beam kid, who jumps through hoop of divorced propaganda

That breaks up his morals

It attacks his inner happiness with confusion of who he is

Wanting to die, between a knife fight and a bullet into his temple

He breathes until September, not realizing he is fighting himself

He is blaming you for pushing him into loneliness

Drugs take control of him, as they lead him into other dimensions

But other entities are wanting to feed upon his energy

Broke down his happy home, and killed his respect for the opposite sex

He sits in his room, listening to dark rhymes of someone who understands him

Hoping that someone could hear him

He hopes help is close by

But no one hears him, as he still hears you fighting

He looks at the clock

Its 3 A.M. in the morning, isn’t that when darkness forces

Confusing Dreaming Voices

Confusing dreams of chanted beams

Opening gates, I have never seen

Answers unspoken since I do not exist

Illusion of my mind is hidden many times

Underneath the stairs where fight between myself and Satan began

Not afraid to come out of the hiding, but I’m ready to fight him

I have many times before and have defeated him

His symbols of attacks is nothing new to me

Pain bears no name but sweet lovely rose’s flames

In the morning and always with the highest light of my family

As I am the one who proclaims to understand myself

More than anyone

No one to blame, as these thoughts do not matter

They come and go, just like thunder

Realization of the stars is farther

But it’s coming and I’m awaking up from slumber

My consciousness is open in most time zones of any dimensions

Proclaiming I know something is you are slowly mistaken

I know myself and I have nothing more to say

But if I say I know myself, I know you as well

These dreams so vicious, so complex and so real

Controlling the dreams through my mind

Is a make believe

I lay there not moving nor twitching

I can jump from one body to another

First, I zoom into a relationship of my friends

Then I pan out and jump into another body where I am a child

Walking down a path of infinity of possibilities of the outcome

Then the visions get more complicated and more serious

Something is telling me to look into Psychology as a possible career

I down play it because of the difficulty

Then I speak to myself, “Nothing is easy in this world.”

From which world do I speak off?

I am in many worlds of infinity atoms

Things are so simplistic, but complicated because I speak it

Why do this…

When things are as simple as one, two and three

Can’t you see the fact that the mind control this density?

As when one goes to sleep

He can actually see

That he can live in many worlds

And leave anytime

It’s confusing because logic and attachment comes in this 3^rd

One cannot grasp this kind of slavery

Looking In, Into Another Dimension

In meditation pose in the shower
Full of comfort at this hour
However, I see things from outer third eye view
Things like dirt,no trees,figures, no sun, but light
A bit confused at first, but then I start to realize
I am looking into another dimension
Confused, but comfortable, unattached to purity of my Understanding
I feel discomfort in my limbs and for some reason I have hard time breathing
I feel tightness around my neck, what is going on?
I think to myself without logical patterns of 3rd density type of Thinking...
I try to wake up, but can't...
I struggle with trying to breath, my eyes will not open and I Sneeze
Finally I come out of my dream like sleep
I get up and start to look around
Then I look into my bathroom mirror from top of my face to the Bottom of my feet
And then there it is
Red markings on my neck
Looks weird...
I take a picture and hope to find answers to these red markings...

The creativity of the mind is endless like this time. No time is congruent, but voluptuousness with cupids. Reality is for the taking, but it's also breaking/the walls are escaping, under the nose of all, but who sees the fall will enjoy how tall one can get, as symbols and reality is beyond measure of true love/so much confusion, but nothing to back up this mass confusion/one can feel and re-clined to diss and dismiss, as something so real, cannot be this real...

But it's as real, as you enjoy the air you breath, you speak without needing to seek, you see without being able to touch and you hear without being able to hear, once all the five senses come into your view, something like the 6th sense comes too display itself with grace, it was hidden, but then re-appeared like when animals speak/it hears and feels like plants do, it sees like the sky does,

Stop re-applying the masks passed down from Ancients, we are the designer of this Matrix/no need to confuse the true feelings with your calling/as you know deep inside yourself, what your worth is, and what you need...

And the reason I spit is for you to see, as I take away the fog in your purity/confusion in wordless monsters is not inside your closet, but inside your walls.

Nasty Creatures

Disgusting drums full of throttle pain

Beating into my window

They are waiting for me they tell me

Voices bear a resemblance to what I saw and heard when I was younger

On my wall, there were six of them

One big one and five little ones

Whispering to each other as if they were ready to take a bite off me

I was asleep but awoke as I heard sounds

To my surprise there they were

Shadows on my wall

They creeped in slowly into my view

Went through me like gliding compassion

However, I got nothing more but strangled with their negativity

My positive energy was there for their taking

After words, I felt empty inside

My heart was then broken in

I thought I could love myself

But it has been a battle since

Confused and believe I am dreaming

But most tell me I am awake

A girl I knew who gave me her life

She took those broken pieces and put it back together

But my negativity rubbed off her

I continued going into paralyzed mode of shakes

When I would dream my body would throb

They were trying to contact me

They continue doing so

I try to ignore them

But they creep in slowly

There are many of them

I met many good ones too

But they feed on my negative thoughts and energy
